Looking for an Oracle 11g with RAC on linux/Solaris, data guard, data warehousing
Sql server 2008, with strong development support background, production operations experience.
Responsibilities of the Database Administrator Oracle and SQL Server:
Install, maintain, and upgrade database software.
Monitor and Automate database maintenance activities where appropriate (e.g. database backups, transaction log backups, optimizations, integrity checks)
Create, maintain, and support the development, QA, UAT, and productions database environments
Monitor database/server activities and correct any DBA issues or forward to appropriate Application Support person
Administer database security by adding/deleting logons and setting permissions within each database
Assume responsibility and ownership for projects beyond day to day requirements. Attend meetings and debate plans as required
Assist developers with database related issues (e.g. performance, troubleshooting, and optimization of SQL)
Data Analysis
Write any necessary data fixes related to data migration
Data analysis related to data corruption caused by software defects
Assist BA and Dev with details related to Database
Database Design
Designs Data Architectures
Designs and builds relational databases
Development of a data strategy and associated polices
Selection of capabilities and systems to meet business information needs
Definition and development of build processes
