MINIMUM CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must possess an active Secret clearance.
Software Engineer with expertise in systems integration needed to provide support to the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Systems Engineering, ODASD(SE), in Mission Assurance (MA). MA focuses on developing and providing policy and guidance and supporting Acquisition Category (ACAT) I Major Defense Acquisition Programs (MDAPs) and other special interest programs.
Provide technical expertise and support in the specific area of software design, integration and testing as a key member of MA for Software Assurance.
Bachelor Degree in software engineering (Masters preferred)
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 7 to 10 years prior Software Engineering experience
Familiarity with different types DoD Systems including air warfare; land warfare and munitions; naval warfare; strike warfare; and C4ISR systems
Strong background and capability in systems integration (software); system requirements decomposition/allocations; systems modeling; Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS) and DoD Architecture Framework (DoD) tools
Familiarity with the DoD 5000 series, to include the Defense Acquisition Guide (DAG)
Experience working in the Defense Acquisition Community as a Military Officer/Government Civilian/or Contractor
Ability to work and effectively communicate at the Government Service (GS) 15 grade and Senior Executive Service (SES) levels as a key member of a joint Government/Contractor team
Ability to act as an ambassador of the ODASD(SE) to MDAPs while participating in reviews and in formal and informal communications
MINIMUM CLEARANCE REQUIRED: SECRET
Experience as a Lead Project Engineer/Chief Engineer/Chief Systems Engineer a plus
Military experience is a plus
Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Level III or above training (preferred)
Excellent verbal/written skills
Ability to adhere to established processes and procedures
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
