Summary of Duties
The “Occupational therapist” is accountable for assessment, treatment, billing and education of patients and the appropriate documentation of such care.The therapist is also responsible for managing and supervising the activities of their assistant, aide and student.

Requirements

HIRING COMPETENCIES - skills & experiences the applicant should bring to the job.
a) License: Current Occupational Therapy license in the State of Oregon.
b) Certification: Current Healthcare ProviderBLS preferred upon hire, and required within 6 months of hire.
c) One-year experience in hospital acute care and outpatient preferred.
d) Knowledge of professional responsibilities and medical ethics.
e) Provides care appropriate to the age of patients served in the job.
f) Knowledge of occupational therapy assessment and treatment methods required.
g) Utilizes occupational therapy modalities and equipment.
h) Knowledge of local, state and federal rules regarding patient treatment and documentation.
i) History of practicing in accordance with professional licensing laws, and professional practice act.
j) Excellent customer service skills.
k) Maintains effective relationships with other health care professionals.
l) Uses effective communication skills.
