Manages mechanical application projects through direct communication with project managers in the divisions and corporate mechanical design personnel. Responsible for use of AutoCAD (Computer Aided Design) for drawing mechanical plans. Produce technically accurate plans in a timely manner that are consistent with division requirements and requests. Role model and demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of others.

Essential Job Functions:
Capable of following redlines, rough sketches and written work scopes to produce mechanical plans.
Maintain a basic understanding of mechanical design applications and equipment function.
Ensure all materials are available (redlines, sketches, written work scopes…) to complete mechanical applications prior to starting a plan.
Maintain a general understanding of mechanical planning principles, equipment function, in-store work methods, maintenance and construction practices, corporate design objectives and specific division requirements. .
Utilize traditional sources of information and technical data.
Set and communicate completion dates for assigned projects.
Recognize appropriate mechanical application options.
Manage projects through direct communication with division and corporate personnel..
Understand refrigeration and/or Heating, Ventilating, & Air Conditioning (HVAC) fundamentals.
Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. (Level 4)
Exercise independent judgment on less complex tasks. Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job and requires support for more complex tasks. (Level 5)
Impact of decisions are minimal.
Help to train other department members on less complicated tasks.

Requirements

Minimum Position Qualifications:
Mechanical, Civil, Construction, Electrical associate degree AutoCAD (Computer Aided Design) training.
Good verbal and written communication skills required.
2 years comparable experience (Level 5)

Desired Previous Job Experience:
Exposure to refrigeration disciplines/study.
Some working experience with the use of AutoCAD
