POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for the overall quality of care and supervision of the home care site encompassing nursing and administrative supervision. Facilitates coordination of care between home care site and monitoring center. The Governing Board appoints the HCD.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Ø Assists with recruitment, selection, hiring, orientation, and evaluation of home care site personnel.
Ø Consistently model the organization’s philosophy of customer service by demonstrating responsibility for improvement of operational efficiency, empowering employees to address service issues with knowledge and support and to pervasively communicate the expectations of dedication to both internal and external customer service.
Ø Manage clinical and administrative staffing in the home care site(s).
Ø Facilitate care coordination between home care site and monitoring center.
Ø Manage and provide ongoing education, in-service training programs and competency evaluations to improve patient care and employee efficiency for all health care personnel.
Ø Positively represent the Company to the customer; and the customer to the Company.
Ø Develop professional rapport with key physicians and hospitals within the respective geographic area. Provide support to the sales force.
Ø Collaborate on budgetary management of the home care site(s).
Ø Ensure adherence to company protocols and procedures. Responsible for maintaining compliance with applicable state laws and regulations.
Ø Functions as liaison with the Governing Board and, as applicable, the Professional Advisory Board.
Ø Maintain a system for keeping all service agreements, including financial arrangements that have been made with other providers, and for services of others to meet patient needs.
Ø Participate in the provision of patient care.
Ø Ensure appropriate community awareness of services provided and accuracy of informational materials and activities.
Ø Provide procedures and a system for staff communication at the home care site that ensures coordinated implementation of plans of treatment and utilization of necessary services for comprehensive care of patients.
Ø Occasional overnight travel may be required to support off site meetings and educational classes. Q

ualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Ø Registered Nurse with degree (BSN preferred) or minimum qualifications as required by the regulations of the state(s) in which the incumbent resides/works.
Ø Minimum of three (3) years of experience in perinatal nursing required.
Ø Minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Ø Current RN license for state of residence.
Ø Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
Ø Proven customer service skills, management skills, sound independent judgment, initiative, and solid organizational skills required.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Ø Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ø This position requires a high level of competency in both oral and written communication.
