Release & configuration Engineer - Bellevue, WA
Become part of the team at CyberSource as we transition the enterprise to a new data center. We will be upgrading all of our systems to the latest and greatest versions increasing scalability, performance and security enhancements.
The Release and Configuration Management Engineer will handle the daily responsibilities supporting the release needs of small, agile scrum teams at Cybersource. These tasks include configuration identification, change management, build and release management, version control, and source code auditing/reporting. The RCM Engineer will establish working relationships with one or more teams, providing assistance through the development cycle for any required changes to the build/release/version-control processes required to get a product released into test and production environments.
Handle the daily responsibilities of supporting the build and release needs of a small, agile scrum team.
Support configuration changes driven by multiple sources
Collaborate with other team members or engineering teams in scheduling and implementing updates to the build / release / version-control processes required to enforce and apply build and release engineering best practices
Excellent written and oral communication skills

Ability to work independently, as well as with a team
Demonstrated project management skills.
Understanding of the software development life-cycle
Must be able to occasionally work off-hours to support production releases
Must have Skills/Experience:
5+ years’ experience in release and configuration management roles.
2+ years of experience supporting Engineering Systems in a cross platform environment
Expertise with 2 or more software version control systems (AccuRev a plus, Subversion, ClearCase, Perforce or others)
Understanding of RCM concepts (codelines, branching, merging, integration, versioning, etc.)
Strong understanding of a structured build definition files/tools (msbuild, nant, ant, maven, other)
Strong scripting language skills with one of these: Perl, Python, VBScript, bash
Sys Admin experience with .NET or Java web containers (IIS, IBM Websphere, JBoss, Tomcat,other )
Nice to Have Skills/Experience:
Exposure to agile methods (scrum, sprints, continuous integration)
Experience utilizing Software Change Management systems (Jira, ClearQuest, Rally)
Experience with one or more integration/automated build tools (Anthill, BuildForge, CruiseControl)
Sys Admin knowledge of a MS Windows OS (Windows 2003, 2008 server)
Sys Admin knowledge of a Unix OS flavor (Linux, SUSE, Ubuntu, etc)
Basic SQL knowledge.
