Must be capable of working on AutoCAD Release 2000 or higher and have an introductory knowledge of Autoplant 3D, Intergraph Smartplant software package or other 3D software. Has a working knowledge of paper / model space and is capable of creating 2D orthographic drawings from 3D models.

Essential Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Drafts rough sketches, drawings, specifications, and other engineering data received from project engineers and designers. Drawings produced include equipment configuration drawings, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID’s), 3D equipment arrangements and piping models, and 2D installation and piping drawings from 3D models. In this role, you will:
  • Apply knowledge of mathematical formulas to size vessels and tanks
  • Perform preliminary work in development of working layouts and final master drawings adequate for detailing equipment
  • Confer with senior designers, Design Manager and project engineers to resolve design questions

    Qualifications/Requirements
  • Associate degree (or a High School diploma / GED with a minimum of 2 years related experience and/or training)
