Must be capable of working on AutoCAD Release 2000 or higher and have an introductory knowledge of Autoplant 3D, Intergraph Smartplant software package or other 3D software. Has a working knowledge of paper / model space and is capable of creating 2D orthographic drawings from 3D models.
Essential Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Drafts rough sketches, drawings, specifications, and other engineering data received from project engineers and designers. Drawings produced include equipment configuration drawings, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID’s), 3D equipment arrangements and piping models, and 2D installation and piping drawings from 3D models. In this role, you will:
Apply knowledge of mathematical formulas to size vessels and tanks
Perform preliminary work in development of working layouts and final master drawings adequate for detailing equipment
Confer with senior designers, Design Manager and project engineers to resolve design questions
Qualifications/Requirements
Associate degree (or a High School diploma / GED with a minimum of 2 years related experience and/or training)
