ACADEMIC ADVISOR & COORDINATOR FOR FIRST-YEAR INTEREST GROUPS This position is housed within the Division of Student Development and has a dual report to both the Student Success Center (Major Exploration) and the Student Involvement Center (Coordinator for First-Year Interest Groups). MAJOR EXPLORATION ADVISOR (50%) Please refer to the job description attached to the posting. COORDINATOR FIRST-YEAR INTEREST GROUPS (50%) Under general direction, is responsible for providing vision and support for the successful implementation of academic and student development partnerships and "living-learning" programs that connect curricular and co-curricular undergraduate student experiences and enhance student learning; assists with the successful implementation of residential learning communities and first-year student interest groups; and works with assessment initiatives. The FIGS program is designed to assist first-year students in transitioning to SLU by combining their residential and academic experiences into a seamless learning community.
