Under the direct supervision of the Head Track and Cross Country Coach, this position is responsible for assisting with all aspects of the University’s varsity track and cross country program. The Assistant Coach will serve as the recruiting coordinator for the men’s and women’s track and cross country programs and will be responsible for managing all recruiting efforts of the program. The Assistant Coach will also primarily provide coaching instruction to women’s track and cross country athletes. This position requires frequent interaction with the Head Coach, compliance office, academic coordinator and athletic trainers to ensure a successful recruiting program, ensure student-athlete welfare, and promote a successful and positive athletic experience for female track and cross country student-athletes. This position works under general supervision.
A Bachelor's degree is required.
- 1-2 years of coaching experience
- Previous track or cross country running experience at the collegiate or professional level
The successful completion of a pre-employment background check is required.
