The MRAP Egress Trainer (MET) Instructor/Operator/Maintainer will conduct MRAP related egress training, and operate and maintain the MET system IAW with the published MRAP NET TSP and Operator's Manual. The individual, in coordination with the supported activity, will conduct training and operate the trainer according to the established training schedule, ensuring that the system is maintained at an operational availability rate of no lower than 90% of available training time, based on a standard five (5) days/week, eight (8) hours/day. In doing so, the individual will perform periodic, scheduled maintenance on the system to ensure the stated maximum trainer operational availability (at least 90%). When repairs are required, the individual will respond immediately and perform necessary diagnostics and parts replacement as required to return the trainer to fully operational capability NLT 48 hours.
Must be military instructor certified. Must have maintenance and repair experience, to include electronic and mechanical systems diagnostics and troubleshooting. Must be trained in the maintenance and repair of the MET system. Must be trained and certified in the operation of the MET system IAW referenced operator's manual. Must be familiar with all variants of the MRAP to be adapted to the MET (presently known to include the MAXXPro, Cougar, RG-31, Caiman, RG-33S and RG-33L,
and Buffalo). Prior military experience as
an NCO, E6 or above is preferred
