      Autodesk 360 Operations is a team focusing on supporting Autodesk's growing and dynamic SaaS product family. The Web Services Database Administrator is responsible for implementation and production support of the database backend for customer facing Autodesk SaaS enterprise applications and web services infrastructures. The successful candidate will be joining a highly respected and fast paced team. In addition, this position will support the many Autodesk SaaS applications as well as participate and be available as part of the SaaS Platform Services Operations second level on-call team for support and problem resolution.

      Key Responsibilities:
      • Monitor and optimize MySQL database performance and capacity planning
      • Troubleshoot database issues, maintain database systems availability and scalability
      • Establish mechanisms for data backup/restore of relational databases and provide restoration services as needed
      • Develop and optimize database design for new applications
      • Develop and support MySQL database replication
      • Analyze application database requirements and provide database solutions are secure and resilient and scale
      • 7x24 on-call rotation to respond to and resolve application issues to ensure SaaS applications are online

          5+ years experience as a DBA working in a production environment. Min 2 years’ experience as a MySQL DBA for a customer-facing website. Expert knowledge in MySQL. Able to build and optimize complex queries efficiently Demonstrated experience with MySQL database design, implementation, performance tuning, and capacity planning. Experience with Windows and Open Source/Linux systems administration in development and production environments Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or Mathematics Strong analytical, communication, and troubleshooting skills Must be a team player and often work with business users, DBAs, and application engineers to find most suitable solution Able to work under pressure and multi-tasking capabilities and work effectively in a fast paced, highly data driven, changing environment Pro-active, dedicated, committed and responsible Preferred: Production DBA experience with PostGres and/or MS SQL Experience with security controls and High Availability/Clustering on MySQL in production environments Certified MySQL DBA is a PLUS Managing large scale database system Basic knowledge of networking and security concepts Basic knowledge of web servers (IIS, Apache, Tomcat) Development or Scripting experience Experience with Amazon Web Services and AWS RDS Americas-United States-California-San Francisco
