This position will be primarily focused on supporting the needs of the mechanical/industrial sales and marketing teams. It will also be a resource to the residential marketing team. The day-to-day duties will be focused on assisting the sales management and marketing teams on key initiatives. This will require interface with key functional areas within IG and CertainTeed.
This position will require a highly motivated individual who would like to develop a career in Sales or Marketing. This person will develop a working knowledge of each of the key aspects of the insulation group to include sales, operations, logistics, finance, marketing, and R&D. This person will sometimes have direct customer contact and assist in development of promotional programs with Marketing. Proficient commination and conflict resolution skills are a must due to interfacing with people of various social and economic backgrounds. This position will require the continuous development of product knowledge, not only in fiberglass insulation, but in the building industry as a whole. The person who accepts this job must be a calculated risk taker willing to make decisions that are in the best interest of the business.
-Manage slow moving inventory program
-Manage marketing loyalty programs
-Manage samples, marketplace, promotional programs
-Competitive product/action monitoring (websites, ads, press releases, gap analysis, etc): provide analysis and recommendations to business
-Establish and implement improve sales and marketing reporting procedures and processes: Dodge reports for prospecting, Naima share, monthly sales & VOC reports, quality and service reports, new product scorecard, market check reporting, etc.
-Administrative Support to sales and marketing: analysis of sales data, support for management presentations, IOL processing and coding, meeting schedule coordination, system administration (SFDC, stratum, etc)
-Special project support: (price sheet automation, roc workbook automation, price for profit, service advantage, process documentation projects, etc)
-Assist with media planning
-Liaise with Corporate Marketing as needed, manager and participate in BeCertain events
Minimum Knowledge and Skills Required:
Bachelor degree required in a related field of study (Business Administration, Engineering, Architecture, etc.).
4-5 years of experience in marketing, sales, order fulfillment and/or engineering functions preferred. Building products industry experience is preferred.
Proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook. Exposure to CRM, AS/400, Silvon Stratum preferred.
Strong communications required – both written and verbal. Must have demonstrated leadership qualities and be skilled in speaking before a group. Ability to interface with multiple levels within organizations (external and internal) is critically important. Key values include integrity, intelligence, initiative & self-improvement. Successful candidate must have impeccable follow through.
Mechanical/Industrial insulation product knowledge preferred but not required.
Project management training is desired, or experience.
Ability to resolve conflict, high emphasis on teamwork.
Highly motivated, minimal supervision needed.
Approximately 5-10% travel required.
