GEICO is seeking a highly motivated self-starter with excellent web design skills to join the GEICO Mobile team. Responsibilities include integrating creative design concepts to enhance mobile user experience while maintaining a consistent design standards and applying mobile best practices.
Candidate Qualifications
Proficiency in Photoshop, Notepad, Illustrator, Firebug, Web developer toolbar, CSS, HTML and Dreamweaver is required. Experience in optimizing images for web interfaces and creating HTML/CSS that accurately translates mock-ups into code is highly desired. A solid understanding of current Internet standards, including cross-browser compliance, is a big plus, as is knowledge of Java constructs. Must also have a demonstrated ability to work independently and multi-task on several assignments simultaneously. A team player with strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail is a must. Experience in user-interface, usability and information architecture principles, with a proven track record designing mobile apps or web sites supporting complex business functionality is preferred. Previous work experience exhibit in design portfolio is a plus. Candidates must have authorization to work in the United States.
