Position Description:

The Global Mobility Manager I (GMM) manages a group of 3 to 4 Global Mobility Coordinators (GMC) and has responsibility for a group of expatriate employees as the subject matter expert from the initiation of their assignment through repatriation. Leading the GMC team involves coordination of international assignments crossing Raytheon businesses and managing team members in a virtual environment. The GMM is also the relationship manager for a group of expatriate employees on all aspects of their assignment, including preparation and explanation of assignment letters and emoluments/extensions, coordinating and managing the process of visa and immigration clearances with outside vendors, relocation activities with outside vendors. This role also provides leadership in continuing process improvements and vendor relationships, in particular in the area of cross-Raytheon assignments, as well as future bids based on experience with the assignees in his/her area of jurisdiction.

Roles and Responsibilities
· Provide daily supervision, direction, training and oversight to 3 to 4 GMCs, some in off-site locations
· Coordination of service delivery and assignment packages to programs with deployed employees from two or more RTN businesses
· Responsible for relationship management with the employees under his/her charge, including ready access by mobile communications during non standard U.S. work hours
· Subject matter expertise on the international assignment policy and related policies impacting the employee while on assignment, and can explain their applicability/interpretation
· Prepares, delivers, and explains assignment letter to the employee; proactively handles extensions
· Arranges for calculation of assignment compensation with the compensation team and ensures that allowances and payments are aligned with the assignment letter
· Accountable for delivery of a high level of customer service, timeliness, responsiveness, and compliance to the policy/bid requirements
· Exercises independent judgment and discretion, thinks on feet and problem solves when unusual situations arise such as visa problems, exception requests, etc
· Develops and maintains partnerships with internal departments and external providers: talent acquisition, compensation team, information systems, household goods carriers, immigration, tax advisor etc.
· Provide continuous advice and support to the HR business leads
· Knowledgeable on particular countries/regions of the world and with nuances of dealing with immigration, tax, benefits, cultural and other requirements to the country/countries
· Bachelor’s degree
· 6 Years of related experience
· Previous experience servicing expatriates
· General HR, compensation, or international tax (expatriate) experience in a customer facing role
· Knowledge of a foreign language or culture outside the U.S. highly desirable
· Employee management experience is desirable
