The Calamos Portfolio Administration team is adding to their group. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is interested in working as a junior analyst. The primary responsibilities are to actively monitor and maintain a set of accounts, ensuring they are invested according to the direction set out by Portfolio Management. This includes building trade tickets, identifying outlier positions, raising cash per client requests, and monitoring cash balances. To do this you must learn the Calamos investment process, the models used in this process, and perform introductory research assignments.

Working with the Research team you will perform company reviews- these reports include a basic synopsis of the company, competition, competitive landscape and valuation based upon internal models as well as the analyst's scrutiny. Other research duties will include company monitors-keeping a look out for indications based on both fundamental and technical data that may signal the potential for buy / sell decisions. You will also assist with strategy/account reviews - this involves reviewing various internal reports pertaining to a specific strategy, analyzing how the strategy is situated vs. its benchmark and looking for positions that should either be bought or sold. The Portfolio Administrator will have the chance to make suggestions on how to improve the portfolio's structure.

As a Portfolio Administrator/Junior Analyst you will be involved in discussions with management and you will provide Client Support by answering questions about performance, individual positions, portfolio construction, and Calamos investment process.
