Duties & Responsibilities

The Production Planner is responsible for developing integrated detail level schedules for the execution of elements of projects including, but not limited to, mechanical and electrical components, mechanical and electrical assemblies, installation details, drawing packages, etc. defined in the scope of work and/or as specified by the customer’s representative. --Develop integrated detail level schedule for the production, manufacture, assembly, and installation of project elements to meet the project milestones. --Maintain integrated detail level schedule for the project elements to meet the project milestones. --Use computer software programs to develop schedule, reports, and spreadsheets to convey project status to team and customer. --Interface with engineering, manufacturing, and project management to develop integrated schedule to represent project status. --Develop reports to convey areas of concern and opportunity in the schedule to meet project milestones and objectives.


Education- --High school graduate or equivalent required. Associates degree and/or vocational, business, technical school education preferred. Experience- --Two [2] years in a position gaining an understanding of project scheduling process and factors. --Two [2] years in an office environment or equivalent. Knowledge- --Understanding and fluency in scheduling software – Microsoft Project and Primavera. --Basic Mathematics --Computer literacy. --Understanding of developing spreadsheets and reports. --Understanding of technical projects. --Understanding of manufacturing, production, and installation methods and process.
