The IT Convergence Systems Analyst is responsible for leading and advancing the University convergence systems on a day-to-day and strategic basis. The IT Convergence Systems Analyst ensures that present and future convergence systems are, collaboratively, designed, implemented and maintained proactively. The IT Convergence Systems Analyst is also responsible for identifying and executing operational enhancements to the University convergence systems that will enhance productivity and reduce operational cost in innovative and dynamic eco-systems. Additionally, the IT Convergence Systems Analyst is responsible for drafting and proposing policies and standards, following industry best practices, and interacting with industry counterparts, stakeholders and other senior management to make technical recommendations and collaborative proposals which meet strategic enterprise business objectives of the University.
This position is responsible for the managing, planning and independently designing of The University of Toledo's Convergence Systems including support services for academic and clinical operations on both the Main and Health Science Campuses. In addition, this position will be responsible for making independent decisions while working in the system to ensure continual service.
Minimum of Associate degree in information systems, information technology computer science, management or any other related fields. Bachelor degree preferred but not required.
Familiarity of industry convergence systems' trends and experience in many facets of convergence systems and its operations preferred.
Must have experience in coordinating and managing multiple high priorities projects, day-to-day operations in a large organization.
Seven to ten years' experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Must have significant experience and independent judgment in executing and maintaining complex systems preferably in academic settings. A demonstrated understanding of the complete breadth of information technologies is required. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Experience planning and managing technology organization is required. Experience creating and maintaining strategic stakeholders' relationships is required.
