New opportunity based in Costa Mesa, CA for a Network Technician to oversee xChangePoint Team network connectivity and data center design, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, service support. Provides second and third level guidance/ directions to xChangePoint staff and installation teams and interfaces with vendor support service groups for service requirements. Installs, configures, and troubleshoots networks and associated components. Leads all Local Area and Wide Area Network activities and researches, tests, evaluates, and recommends data communication hardware and software.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide guidance and coordinate network architecture with internal xChangePoint and IT Teams.
Gather complex network requirements to create highly reliable and scalable network designs.
Produce detailed level design documents such as Visio diagrams, architecture definition documents, IP allocations, device descriptions and narratives describing the design function.
Configure and test networking equipment in a lab environment prior to production cutover.
Assist with the assessment of IT infrastructure to identify strengths and needs, define target environment, implement tactical and strategic upgrades as required.
Work with vendors to understand new technologies and meet xChangePoint connectivity objectives.
Ensure all systems and services are documented, recoverable, and monitored.
Assist with the establishment of 24/7 monitoring, problem identification, escalations, and notifications related to all production systems and services.
Follow and provide input into all network and data related policies, procedures, and expectations (i.e. internal change control, capacity planning, system monitoring, system load testing processes.)
Ensure timely IT support is provided to all xChangePoint project teams and Company staff.
Research and develop service improvements and design future network architecture;
Design and implement end to end system redundancy and DR technologies and procedures.
Perform other duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS:
College Degree, preferable in Computer Science, Network Administration, or related discipline.
Minimum 3 years Sr. Windows Systems Administration, project management and analysis experience with core Microsoft technologies (Windows Server 2003, Exchange Server 2003/2007, Terminal Services).
Minimum 3 years Cisco configuration experience including strong experience with core Cisco technologies such as VPN, Cisco routers/IOS, encryption, and firewalls.
Proven experience with a wide variety of technologies, including but not limited to Blackberry Enterprise Server, LANDesk, SQL server setup/administration, and Web Server (IIS).
Demonstrated ability to integrate new technologies into an emerging Fortune 500 architecture.
Master TCP/IP networking skills.
Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert or Cisco Certified Network Engineer achievement desirable.
Expert level network documentation skills including master skills with MS Visio.
Strong working knowledge of: IT systems, architectures, and nomenclature; technical writing discipline; project management methodologies and techniques; server hardware maintenance/troubleshooting across multiple server vendors.
Experience in Linux or another Unix Operating System desirable.
Familiarity with Power, Cooling & Facilities Engineering inside a data center is a plus.
Strong verbal, written, computer, technical, internal consulting, and customer-focused communication and presentation skills, including MS Visio and Project required.
Proven ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues at multiple management and business unit levels and locations, including experience protecting confidential and sensitive information.
Strong organizational skills with proven ability to follow through on multiple tasks and priorities.
Valid Driver License in good standing, issued by state of residence.
U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.
May require travel and flexibility for ‘on call’ support or varied schedule needs.
May be required to pass security clearance.
