Responsibilities
The Corporate Legal Department of The Walt Disney Company is looking for a team player to provide executive support to our Associate General Counsel In charge of global antitrust and consumer protection law, in our New York City office located in the Lincoln Center area.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Interacting with senior executives of The Walt Disney Company and other companies, law firms and government agencies;
Scheduling meetings and travel arrangements, and preparing presentations for senior management and lawyers both domestic and international;
Handling correspondence and preparing documents, both legal and business related, including expense reports, department budgets and bills from outside law firms and service providers
Coordinating worldwide activities, including periodic videoconference meetings across multiple time zones; and
Assisting with NY Continuing Legal Education Certified activities including responsibility for coordinating schedules of support staff and of conference rooms.
Basic Qualifications
The Successful Candidate should possess the following qualifications:
7 or more years of administrative experience in an Executive Assistant capacity, preferably for a senior in-house lawyer or as Secretary to a major law firm partner;
Excellent administrative, secretarial and technical skills including self-starting determination of priorities, as well as word processing/PowerPoint, shorthand and well-organized approach to office management;
Exceptional attention to detail; and
The ability to articulate and communicate with senior level executives and attorneys in person, on the telephone and electronically.
