The Wealth Strategist Team Leader manages the Wealth Strategist team within Client Segments. This team works with Private Wealth Management Sales Officers and Sr. Portfolio Officers in their work with clients, prospects as well as their tax and legal advisors, to provide expert advice to clients in specialty areas such as the development of appropriate Asset Allocation strategies, Alternative Investment strategies, hedging strategies, Wealth Transfer strategies and Transfer Taxation, Estate Planning, Fiduciary Planning opportunities, Fiduciary responsibilities, Fiduciary Taxation, technical expertise on IRA Accounts and related Retirement Planning expertise. Often called upon to represent the organization externally, either in print interviews or speaking at client and professional seminars. The team leader will have responsibility for managing team resources, ensuring appropriate WM regional coverage for external events and internal client meetings, planning and assessing compensation and performance of the Wealth Strategists.
Knowledge consistent with attainment of an undergraduate degree, and preferably attainment of advanced degree, either MBA or JD. CFP and/or CFA designation preferred. Specialized product knowledge typically gained through 10+ years experience in the management of a portfolio management or specialty group (i.e. Tax). Ability to communicate effectively with High Net Worth clients, strong presentation and relationship management skills.
