The Assistant Provost is ultimately responsible for developing and implementing strategies to facilitate the academic success of Syracuse University†s student-athletes and its NCAA Division I athletic teams. In pursuing this critical University objective, the successful candidate for this position will work with the Associate Provost for Academic Programs to develop an overall strategy, and will be responsible for the day-to-day management and administration of the academic services office for all student-athletes. The Assistant Provost will also: Oversee student-athlete academic activities from admissions through graduation. Implement programs and services --- in compliance with University, athletic conference, and NCAA policies and procedures --- that help guide and assist student-athletes in their academic endeavors while preparing them for success after graduation. Serve as the liaison between the academic and athletics departments of the University. Interact regularly with academic leaders in the University†s schools/colleges, Athletics Administrative Staff, the Office of Compliance, and the Faculty Athletics Representative.For a detailed position description and online application instructions, go to, (#029958).
