operations and processes systems development and modifications and solution implementation for all College departments PERCENTAGES (50) Business Analysis Consultation with users and analysis of business related processes Consults with college departments to understand business requirements for streamlining operations systems development and solution implementation Also consults with college departments to analyzetroubleshoot business process problems Additionally provides analysis on significant projects mandated by outside entities The Business Analyst then collaborates with technical specialists and departments to develop technical solutions that meet the defined needs and are cost effective to implement and support The position plays a leadership role in developing consensus among various groups regarding crossdepartmental projects and leads areas in solving complex business problems that may include the use of technology (30) Project Management The Business Analyst manages collegewide requests for system modifications and projects The position acts as project lead for the completion of these requests by employees and consultants in both technical and functional roles Collaborates with technical specialists and departments to develop project plans deliverables resource requirements and budgets The Analyst tracks a projects progress risks and issues and creates reports as appropriate to inform project sponsors and key stakeholders on the progress issues and potential solutions Manages any change requests related to the working project plans regularly to meet agreed deadlines Coordinates system testing tracks defects prioritizes corrections and schedules testing and sign off by constituents Organization and followthrough are cornerstones of these activities (15) Documentation Plans the implementation of new systems into production including the creation of checklists operational documentation and formal assignment of roles and responsibilities for support maintenance and enhancements Documents business requirements using narratives use cases graphics flow charts and diagrams as appropriate Consolidates project planning reports for Administrative Computing departments and other constituents to surface resource conflicts and scheduling issues (5) Other Duties as Assigned Create informational web pages for Administrative Computing Work with College Communications to send notices and updates to the campus community Send out notifications using Twitter and other broadcast media Work with Administrative Computing Directors and departments to finalize Service Level Agreements Track SLAs for annual review and revision Work with the CTO Directors and Administration and Finance to track contracts for renegotiation and renewal demonstrated progressive experience as a business analyst Excellent listening verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated ability to synthesize customer needs into cohesive business requirements solution options and project plans Demonstrated ability to identify project risks and issues Ability to develop and present solutions clearly and in a timely manner Experience maintaining informational web pages using Dreamweaver or a content management system Proficient in the use of The Microsoft Office Suite and Project Visio Acrobat Pro Preferred Qualifications Skills in the use of
