Job Summary :
Senior Credit Representative must be detail oriented, results driven and have thorough knowledge and understanding of credit principles, policies and procedures with emphasis on customer risk management.
The selected Senior Credit Representative will take full ownership of assigned specialized account debit portfolio.
Responsibilities include but not limited to managing credit, collections, and financial relationships within assigned key accounts and government areas. Obtain customer financial information and conduct risk analysis of overall financial condition to include regular reviews of all customer accounts/credit lines. Prepares appropriate documentation for recommended renewal where appropriate and assigns or recommends credit lines within designated authority.
Additional to performing key account credit analysis the Senior Credit Representative is responsible to ensure timely collections using soft skill collections best practices to ensure agreed terms of contracts are met and streamlining processes to encourage timely payments. Develop and maintain professional relationships with customers’ financial management in an effort to understand payment processes, optimize sales volume, and minimize risk through effective communication reducing Days Sales Outstanding (DSO). Monitor held orders for over dues and over credit limit statuses.
The selected Senior Credit Representative will have proven oral, written and interpersonal communication skills to effective communicate with specialized accounts within their assigned debt portfolio and internal customers to include Commercial Sales, Customer Service, Billing, Dispatch and outside Credit Agencies and Senior Management.
Skills / Requirements:
Associates Degree in related field and 3-5 years Credit and Collections experience with emphasis on customer risk management.
Must have proven experience reducing Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) minimizing credit risk and improving aging of receivables with strong ability to assess customer credit information by reviewing financial statements and other credit resources, establishing customer credit limits, allowing for maximum profitable customer sales while minimizing losses.
Must have experience monitoring customer outstanding credit balances and aging, tracking all reports, identifying problem accounts and determining resolution.
Must have the ability to maintain strong internal and external customer relations using interpersonal, oral, and written communications while enforcing approved payment terms in accordance with policies.
