Title: Federal Cost Rate Analyst

Location: Hermitage, TN

Position Description:
Analyzes and reconciles project input and billing data. Assesses validity of incurred costs for compliance with regulations. Prepares and distributes reports to leadership.

Illustrative Duties and Responsibilities
. Provides support in formulating responses to audit requests.
. Performs analysis and construction of specified portions of Federal Indirect Cost Rate Proposals (FICRP), including both direct and indirect schedule preparation.
. Performs and conducts second level review of billing true-ups before incorporation into cost submission schedules.
. Performs a variety of tasks associated with Final Incurred Cost Submission reports. Prepares components of either direct or indirect schedule preparation and produces supportive analytical work.
. Executes various tasks to support the building of provisional cost rates as directed by Manager.
. Conducts analyses requested by management.
. Performs testing, analysis and maintenance of the Deloitte Federal Systems. Reviews cost center attributes, fringe/overhead/G&A tables, provisional and final labor rates, airline tables, DTE tables, and document posting errors. Work with field analysts, controllers, FFCO management, DFA, team, DTE team, and World Travel to gather information necessary to populate tables and attributes.
. Coordinate and process transactional data needed to create the Job Cost Report which supports billing federal cost plus contracts. Performs activities such as loading personnel rosters, loading WBS elements, security requests, balancing report to ledger, report distribution, special runs, and calculation of rate requests upon demand. Supports and interacts with Pricing group relative to cost rate support.
. Performs statistical sampling transaction testing for yearly statistical audit to ascertain allowability in accordance with FAR. Work with DQI for account classifications and preparing final DQI decrement tables for overhead and G&A schedules.
. Prepares accounting period submissions of management journal entries by working with multi-geographical team to include all new Federal WBS elements and cost centers. Assists in calculating and preparing factors for submission to the Data Application Specialist prior to execution of SQL program that creates the entries. Performs basic research for field requests and understands how the amounts are calculated in the program.
. Analyzes and maintains all new general ledger accounts, cost centers, and project types to assess allowability and characterization of attributes in accordance with FAR.
. Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Required Skills:
Experience with Microsoft Office, and ability to demonstrate intermediate level proficiency Bachelor's Degree 3 years minimum of accounting, regulatory or technical experience Preferred Skills:
Strong oral and written communication skills, with ability to show strong attention to detail Knowledge of Federal government contract cost accounting regulations Prior experience with SAP Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance related area preferred. Clearance (Standard): Selected Applicants will undergo a security / background investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Candidates must be U.S. citizens with the ability to receive U.S. security clearance if needed.
