The Regulatory Compliance Field Manager investigates and manages all regulatory compliance activities including hazardous materials, firearm inventories, firearm audits, and both hazardous material and firearm training that are required for new and existing stores, the distribution center and base camp.

Assist in the analysis and improvement of systems, processes and controls.
Compile, analyze and report firearm inventory, regulatory compliance information, and completed compliance training along with all statistical data.
Assist with the development of policy and procedure and audit stores on policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance on all levels of laws and regulations for firearms are complete.
Research new laws regarding Firearms or Hazardous Materials and helps in developing and implementing new requirements.
Determine regulatory requirements for all operations including ATF, OSHA, EPA and DOA works with the respective business departments to ensure compliance.
Manage and coordinate the sprinkler testing and fire extinguisher inspections program and works with risk management and insurance company to follow up on inspections and noted deficiencies.
Assists in developing, training, and maintaining a database of information regarding all firearm audits and inventories, regulatory information, sprinkler testing and fire extinguisher inspections.
Performs store audits on ATF, OSHA, EPA and DOA policy and producedure and debriefs store on results.

BA/BS in a related field with 6 years related business experience and previous training, regulatory compliance or Gander Mountain store experience desirable.
Investigation experience beneficial and experience with policy administration desirable.
Demonstrated proficiency in PC applications including MSWord, OUTLOOK, EXCEL, and MS ACCESS.
Ability to communicate, both verbally and written, clearly and concisely and interact effectively at all levels and across the organization.
Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize activities with attention to detail.
Able to work in an unstructured environment with little or no direct supervision and handle tasks with competing and conflicting requests.
Travel 50% of time.
