The primary purpose of this position is to:
-

Ensure world-wide sustainment support for engines operated by the United States Air Force, Navy, NASA, federal agencies and foreign military services.

-

Prepare and/or revise programming, planning and budgetary documents and data associated with the production management of contract repaired items.

-

Participate in formal source selection boards.

-

Certify acceptance of the product through receipt of the DD250, Material Inspection and Receiving Report.

-

Prepare the Contractor Performance Assessment Rating (CPAR).

-

Ensure appropriate budgeting and financial systems are updated and maintained.

-

Obtain funds upon contract award, execution of a delivery order or when miscellaneous funding is required.

-

Perform quarterly file maintenance in D200A, recording assets at the contractor facility and condemnations of assets.

-

Study supportability data for assigned contract repaired items to ensure timely availability of reparable assets and parts prior to initiating purchase requests with contract sources of repair.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE

Candidate must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to federal service at the GS-05 (or equivalent pay schedule, pay band, etc or higher grade) or higher level providing management control of depot-level overhaul, modification and repair of assigned items.

The description of your work experience in your application (resume with acceptable format) must clearly demonstrate that you have gained and currently possess the following knowledge, skill and abilities to satisfactorily perform the duties of the position being filled:

1. Knowledge of production management and supply chain management support processes, principles and policies; specific knowledge in contract repair support including applicable laws, regulation and practices.

2.

Knowledge of the missions, functions, goals, objectives, work processes and material sources pertinent to contract repaired items.

3.

Ability to effectively provide advice relative to analysis, recommendations and conclusions involved in assigned contract repaired items.

4. Ability to communicate effectively with a demeanor conducive to effective relations with all levels of management.

Candidate must have completed one (1) full year (18 semester hours) of graduate level education, in a related field, from an accredited college or university.

OTHER SIGNIFICANT FACTS:
Physical Demands:
The major portion of duties is performed while seated.

Some walking, standing and bending of a normal nature is required.

On occasion, incumbent must lift material weighing 10-25 pounds.

There will be some exposure to maintenance shops and warehouse facilities.

Working Environment:
Most of the work is performed in an office environment but there is some exposure to conditions in repair shop facilities at the sources of repair.

Employee may be required to travel by government or commercial means IAW Joint Travel Regulations.

Employee must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate background investigation or security clearance.

Incumbents are required to successfully complete a 1-year probationary period.

Successful completion of an agency physical examination may be required prior to appointment.
