Provides front-line logistics systems technical support to ensure continuity of daily business operations by performing initial testing on reported issues; communicating issues and business impact to ISD to establish priority placement; coordinating, creating, processing, and deploying system access, security, and equipment requests; monitoring, tracking, escalating, and driving resolution of ISD support tickets; analyzing hardware, network, and other resource requests to determine best approach to fulfill the requests; and documenting atypical functions and processes to provide consistency for similar future tasks; and testing and confirming issues escalated to ISD are resolved and communicated to impacted users.
Develops prototype databases, reports, processes, and queries to improve business processes by identifying business unit needs; performing analytical research to resolve complex system and application issues; identifying areas of opportunity for enhancement; maintaining and updating database tables (for example, storage/freight rate, distribution/flow) and macros; facilitating application testing, production implementation, and validation; ensuring reporting requests meet corporate compliance policies and guidelines; following-up with business units to ensure solution meets performance expectations and business requirements; and documenting and performing training.
Monitors Logistics processes and systems performance by providing user access to internal and external systems in accordance with security requirements; reviewing usage logs to determine activity levels for external systems to ensure uninterrupted service; and initiating maintenance requests when performance levels are below customer expectations.
Demonstrates up-to-date expertise in Logistics Systems Technical Support and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales.
