As a member of the Engineering Compute Bay Area team you will be expected to provide operational support for a number of world-class engineering infrastructure systems spanning a diverse set of requirements and internal engineering departments. Linux/Windows system administration is at the core of this role. Additionally development of solutions, scripts and/or processes to automate the management and operations of these specific environments, services, tools and servers is required for long-term success. In addition to testing and documenting the requirements, you will be also be responsible for some research and development of new technologies with a focus on performance and engineering efficiency while adhering to enterprise standards. This role includes tier1 and tier2 engineering services (IT) support. You will work closely with the Hardware and Software Engineering design community, vendors, and peers. You will build strong relationships within multiple, global lines of business.

Provide tier1 and tier2 support for our supported lines of businesses.
Provide tier1 and tier2 support for legacy acquisition HW/SW environments with a long-term plan/vision to transition/deprecate the environment over time through a strong partnership with customers.
Act as change agent to evolve existing Engineering Compute standards (globally) to meet specific/updated business requirements at your primary location. Release new standards when none already exist.
Manage multiple concurrent projects and operational tasks with strong communication, written, customer service and organizational skills. Presentation skills a plus.

Preferred: Bachelor's, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Networks & Systems and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering and/or Information Technology or equivalent experience
