Under general supervision and the software development guidelines and technology standards defined by Apollo Corporate IT, this position works from specifications to develop or modify moderately complex software programming applications.
•Assist in analyzing, designing, developing, and deploying Oracle database applications
•Participate in both the design and development processes, both independently and as a member of a project team
•Collaborate with the database team as well as the application development team to design and support applications
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
•Experience with Oracle database design and development
•Ability to work closely with developers/managers
•Experience with database design and logical data modeling and an advanced level of knowledge with both SQL and PL/SQL
•Strong analytical and problem solving skills
•A Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of formal education and directly related experience, is required
•Experience with Open Source databases such as: MongoDB and CouchDB
•Experience with AWS/EC2 cloud based solutions
•Ability to work as part of a team
•Good oral and written communication skills
•You must be a quick learner with the ability to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies
•Ability to multi-task and manage multiple deadlines effectively
