Must have one year recent experience in a relevant healthcare setting. High school graduate or equivalent is required.
Successful completion: of a Nursing Assistant / Patient Care Assistant Program and/or 2 years of recent nursing assistant experience or graduated nursing student who completed all course work and did not pass State Board exam, or nursing student who has completed one semester of clinical rotation, or Medical Corpsman , or EMT, or Paramedic, or medical personnel licensed outside the United States.
Demonstrates awareness of legal issues, patient rights and compliance with the standards of regulatory and accrediting agencies. Practices efficient use of supplies. Maintains a clean, safe, and organized unit. Receives and processes incoming calls, patient calls and guest requests. Transports and delivers items and equipment throughout the facility. Performs all other duties as assigned. The Advanced Clinical Technician must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patients status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the units/ areas/departments policies and procedures.
