PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:Delivers quality instruction ensuring appropriate student satisfaction by tutoring students in an according to program objectives and course syllabi.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Tutors students with material from approved curriculum in accordance with assigned schedule to assure appropriate student satisfaction. Assists students in achieving completion of course learning objectives by providing regular, accurate and timely feedback to students relative to their performance. Establishes and maintains a positive, student-centered learning environment by exemplifying proper classroom decorum and requiring the same of students. Advises students on matters related to academics, attendance, professionalism and Think/Build/Live Success principles. Participates in institution's student success and retention initiatives by maintaining productive contact with students. Assists with resolution of students' concerns. Motivates students to actively participate in all aspects of the educational process (i.e. class discussions, student survey feedback, student-to-student collaboration, outside assignments, research, tracking their own performance accomplishment, etc.) Maintains expertise in subject area in order to provide students with current trends and to recommend improvements in curriculum and instruction. Effectively communicate by email, telephone and meetings with students, instructors, supervisors, other school and corporate personnel. Maintains regular and predictable attendance. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Associates Degree (Bachelors preferred) At least 1 year experience in an educational environment Must have CPHT certification
