With usage growing rapidly, we are assembling a top-tier technology team to ensure that we’re able to scale our applications and our processes. This team is charged with the challenging task of building this distributed and highly available system, with current development focused on scaling to tens of thousands of concurrent users. Our system is built on a LAMP stack, and we are looking for team members familiar with these tools, and with experience at scale on this or other popular web-delivery platforms.

We want to add a Director of Engineering to the team to:
  • Manage the software development organization, including developers, QA, UX, and documentation
  • Recruit staff
  • Manage software releases for on time delivery
  • Work with the business team to understand feature requests and priorities
  • Create and manage beta test programs
  • Create test plans and manage testing with non engineering team members
We are looking for someone who:
  • Has significant experience managing a software development team, including recruiting and employee performance
  • Has significant experience with the development of application software for large volume websites
  • Is familiar with PHP, MySQL, Javascript, HTML, CSS, JQuery
  • Has experience maximizing application performance in a web environment
  • Has a Bachelor or Masters of Science in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or equivalent experience

  • UX experience, especially interaction design and usability testing
  • Experience deploying in the cloud
  • Experience deploying open source software
