Goal: Private Small Company seeking a Social Media Director for oversees the Social Media Marketing Department. The candidate will be in charge of ALL online aspects of the company while working hand in hand with the president of the company.

- MUST have a deep understanding of the various platforms within social media, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Reddit, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc. (first-hand experience a must)
- Significant B2C experience as well as B2B
- Design and implement complex social media engagement campaigns, predominantly for consumer brands and companies
- Enjoy an energetic passion for all things digital with a never-ending desire to stay on top of what’s next in this space
- Recognize the potential, as well as the pitfalls, of engaging in a social media program
- Have a strong understanding of marketing communications and how online and offline activities work together
- Be naturally inquisitive and have a desire to learn everything about the intended target audience, including pulling a social conversation and digging into other means of research to get inside a digital mindset
- Ability to recognize challenges and look at it holistically, stop to ask why and really think through the nature of what’s at-hand versus just doing as instructed
- Be a social media marketing EXPERT
- Have a strong understanding for the creative process and passion for good creative and idea generation
- Be able to clearly articulate and sell social opportunities (and sell-in interest in other agency disciplines)
- Integrate effective social media strategies into holistic programming
- Provide insight on how to utilize real-time marketing to create valuable and sharable content as part of an always-on strategy
- Become an expert on our brand and goals and develop creative solutions that boost the brand’s reputation.
- Identify ways to measure success against the campaign goals and achievable outcomes.
- Advise on web platform development from concept to execution (including social channels and mobile apps, in addition to brand micro-sites, corporate websites, etc.)

- 3 - 7 years in social media and strategy experience (agency life preferred)
- Passion for all things digital, especially social media landscape, and can demonstrate thought leadership in the space
- Hit-the-ground running attitude
- Talented writers and presenters, with outstanding communication skills, including the ability to own and create programs from concept through to presentation and execution
- Research experience (audience insight, social conversations, etc.)
- Strong manager and leader; experience leading teams and direct reports
- Have experience in engagement metrics, working across the various reporting tools, and who can use data to drive strategies for content creation and concepts
- Proven success in managing client campaigns
- Demonstrates strong understanding and first-hand experience within all area of social media and digital; able to effectively communicate and sell strategy and recommended course of action to a client solo
- Experience in issues management and social preparedness
- Understands the big picture; doesn’t just think tactically
- Proven experience in development and execution of social plans
- Clearly understands client challenges and objectives, asks smart questions, gets KPIs and how to measure against them
- Strategic thinker – possess a broad understanding of marketing communications (online and offline)
