Job Overview
Responsible for managing and directing key Human Resources efforts to most effectively partner strategically with strategic business unit leadership. Responsible for leading and coordinating HR functions such as recruiting, hiring, performance management, training and development, succession planning, leadership development, and workforce analytics. Assists as needed in employee relations and employment practices within the business unit supported. Interfaces with and utilizes business unit leadership and Corporate HR functional management team for resources and expertise. Responsible for ensuring all company policies and procedures are in accordance with local, state and federal laws.
Responsibilities
Partners with management, strategic business unit leadership, and Corporate HR to define and establish goals and objectives within areas of responsibility.
Responsible for leading and coordinating HR functions such as recruiting, hiring, performance management, training and development, succession planning, leadership development, and workforce analytics within the strategic business unit supported.
Participates in conference calls with SBU/Corporate HR when necessary, to discuss initiatives, upcoming changes/strategies including any issues or concerns that may arise. Collaborates with SBU/Corporate HR on issues, data and news from the local area relative to the development of the workforce.
Measures the effectiveness of HR activities including employee morale, staffing needs, overall employee relations, turnover, headcount, retention etc. as required by local management as well as Corporate HR addressing issues as they arise.
Provides guidance, advice and assistance to supervisory staff for identifying and recommending solutions to staff development.
Leads the implementation of new developments in HR with regard to performance management and employee development.
Organizes, completes and presents projects as assigned by local management and Corporate HR within specified time frames.
Assists management with preparation of the annual budget as it relates to HR.
Performs all generalist duties.
Qualifications
All candidates must have legal authorization to permanently live and work in the United States without visa or employer sponsorship. Education/Experience:
A minimum of a(n) Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business Management or equivalent plus previous experience in a human resources role is required for this position.
Experience of 5-7 year(s) is required for this position assuming education requirements are met.
Experience of 2+ years in talent/organizational development inclusive of design and implementation of needs assessments and consequent development programs is required.
Must possess knowledge of all HR laws.
PHR/SPHR certification is a plus.
Level I, II, Senior will depend on the needs of the business and performance of the individual.
Previous experience in support of an engineering and/or high tech function is desired. Skills/Abilities:

Employee must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Excellent leadership, influencing, change management, oral and written communication skills are necessary.

Computer literacy in Word, E-mail, Excel, and HRMS is essential; PeopleSoft is a plus.
Employee must possess professional presentation skills.
Ability to handle demanding schedules and multiple tasks.
Employee must be able to interact with a variety of personalities, make immediate decisions, have the ability to work on several tasks at any given time, and remain compassionate, and level-headed while working in a hectic, fast paced environment
