Department: Administrative Computing Services

Status: Temporary, “exempt” position through December 31, 2013 (with the possibility of converting to probationary.)

Salary: $4,314.00 to $5,500.00 per month

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Deadline: This position will remain open until filled.

Under the general supervision of the Director of Administrative Computing Services, the incumbent will customize and upgrade applications and related systems to meet ongoing user needs along with providing daily support and maintenance for enterprise administrative applications in support of Student Affairs, Academic Affairs, Administration and Finance, University Advancement. The incumbent will provide ongoing development, maintenance and/ or enhancements to University reporting needs as well as provide ongoing analysis to address business process needs in administrative departments supported by IRT. The incumbent will perform other duties as assigned.

Applicants must possess the equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science it a related field along with three years of professional level experience programming and creating complex SQL queries (additional relevant experience can be substituted for academic work). Applicants must possess strong interpersonal skills. Experience in a University environment is preferred along with experience in PeopleSoft/ People Tools environment with Application Designer, Data Mover, PS/ Query, SQR, Crystal, People Code, Application Engine or related tools Oracle Database programming- PL-SQL. Hands on experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and newer including Integrated Services (SSIS) Packages, SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) is preferred as well as experience with one or more object oriented programming languages (HTML, HTML%, XHTML, DHTML, CSS3, Javascript, ect). The understanding of Java, PHP, C/ C++ or Objective-C is preferred. Experience using Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Access, Project, Visio is preferred. Experience in Windows and UNIX environments including Linux, HP-UX and/ or AIX, Sun Solaris is preferred along with knowledge of internet protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNC, FTP, etc.).
