Retail Sales Support Coordinator
Provide direct marketing/incentive administration support to 40+branch teams in the execution of corporate, regional, area and branch sales and service initiatives. Ensure that the M&T Brand is effectively displayed and leveraged through merchandising, community support and sales initiatives.
Assist with the introduction and support the front line in the effective execution of corporate marketing activities such as Sales Guide, new product, advertising, and branch merchandising activities. Work closely with regional marketing manager and a minimum of 6 Area Managers as a subject matter expert to develop, introduce, effectively execute, track and evaluate regional, area and branch initiatives. Handle the administration of the retail incentive system to ensure accuracy and compliance; to include performing incentive audits, making recommendations for correct action and to serve as a liaison between the corporate incentive group and the front-line to share important changes, resolve issues, and make recommendations for change to improve quality and efficiency. Through on-site visits, written communications and by attending branch/area meetings ensure compliance with proper merchandising standards is maintained along with the proper execution of our Brand in all aspects of visible internal and external communications. Monitor adherence to the regional marketing budget and ensure the appropriate allocation of funds for maximum exposure and return. May address budget variances with Area Managers and Branch Managers. Prepare and deliver a variety of oral/written communications that may impact the front-line and other business lines. Develop, create and approve advertising copy for regional and area promotions to encourage sales. Promote the sharing of best practices within the Region and among all Regions. Reinforce the use of marketing resources, service standards and sales processes. As a direct marketing resource for 40+ branches, this person may utilize multiple resources throughout the bank to assist branches and business partners with the successful execution of revenue generating activities, brand awareness, customer service, incentive administration and recognition activities. To accomplish this, it requires this position to develop effective relationships with persons in various business lines and support areas, have strong communication skills, and efficiently manage multiple priorities with various deadlines. Common departments this position may interact with includes: Branch Administration, Business Partners, Product Managers, Marketing and Communications, Finance, Facilities, Property Management, Branch Operations, Legal, Retail Banking Support, Corporate Purchasing, and Charitable communications.
Bachelor's degree or in lieu of degree, at least four years of relevant work experience. Four to six years' experience in marketing. Financial services/branch experience helpful. Knowledge of bank's sales process and incentive program a plus. Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and GroupWise. Position requires considerable travel and flexible work schedule. Excellent skills in time management, multi-tasking, building strong relationships and creative thinking. Excellent written and oral communication/presentation skills.
