Primary Functions:

Development and support of Network systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Translate client and service requirements into application software.
  • Develop and maintain basic applications that improve operating efficiency and quality control.
  • Assists in developing project plans and control activities based on service requirements.
  • Develop and maintain systems documentation.
  • Provide input for member training and documentation.
  • Assist in the completion and update of systems controls and standards.
  • Assist in preparation of consolidated project status reporting.
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of current and emerging applications, technologies and standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of team efforts and results.
  • Qualification Requirements:
  • Education - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience Required - Equivalent technical training.
  • Skills - Two years in a Programmer Analyst position including two years in development and maintenance of applications. Skilled in systems methodology, application development and analysis. Efficient use of report writers, and experience in programming languages such as VMS Basic, Visual Basic, Java and C# as well as common programming utilities used in a Open VMS, SQL Server and Microsoft environment. Strong communications and interpersonal skills required. Experience in real-time transaction processing and networking protocols desired. Experience with financial environments desired. Position requires a criminal background investigation and annual credit check due to the nature of the work involved.
  • Tenure - Systems Programmer Analyst II, category 9, requires 24 months tenure in the Systems Analyst I, category 10 position with performance that meets or exceeds expectations. Systems Programmer Analyst III, category 8, requires a minimum of 12 months in the Systems Programmer Analyst II position with performance that meets or exceeds expectation. Senior Systems Analyst, category 7, requires a minimum of 24 months in the Systems Programmer Analyst III position with performance that meets or exceeds expectations.
