The Industrial Engineer develops and optimizes manufacturing, distribution and supply chain processes in the company warehouse and plant operations. This includes leading improvement initiatives, process mapping and analysis and developing capacity management plans. This individual will evaluate opportunities to effectively invest in plant automation systems in order to optimize the desired customer service levels, efficiency and quality targets. The position interfaces cross-functionally with many other corporate functional areas. In addition, this person uses their analytical skills to interpret and organize data into meaningful recommendations to management.


• Assessing processes for their performance against business needs - cost , quality, efficiency, safety - and the adequacy of equipment, systems and tools used to execute those processes
• Designing, installing and commissioning new warehouse and manufacturing equipment, monitoring modifications and upgrades
• Process mapping and standard operating procedure development for all operations functions
• Preparing process flow diagrams, charts and supporting performance data
• Develop working distribution/warehouse and manufacturing network capacity models
• Develop recommendations for investments in automation equipment and systems that promote efficiency, quality and customer service
• Translate inventory strategy into the distribution network including slotting, racking and warehouse productivity solutions
• Act as functional and project lead for business acquisition integrations, new product launches, operational improvements etc. for the manufacturing and distribution teams
• Utilize, and coach members of the team on, problem solving tools. This includes Lean, VMI etc.
• Lead improvement initiatives across the function and business unit, including team and indirect leadership and influencing
• Own and administer complaint management process
• Perform root cause analysis on process errors, productivity and/or quality shortfalls and apply problem solving skills to eliminate issues and ensure core functions operate effectively
• Align and implement strategies for manufacturing plant and warehouse layouts that drive data integrity as well as accurate and timely order fulfillment

Key Performance Indicators:

• Efficiency (cost per unit), quality (order errors, inventory accuracy, complaint rates), customer service fill rates and safety targets
• Deliver projects on-time and on-budget
• Identify opportunities and deliver operational improvements

-Bachelors or equivalent in business or engineering discipline
-Minimum 4 years of experience in cGMP distribution, warehouse and/or manufacturing environment
-Proficiency in MS software suite, MRP and WMS systems
-Experience with Lean, Continuous Improvement or other problem solving/data analysis techniques

-Demonstrated project management and execution skills
-Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and apply results to resolve business issues
-Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently
-Fully knowledgeable of supply chain principles and practices

-Advanced degree in business or Supply Chain mgmt
-APICS or other professional Supply chain .certification
-Lean/Six Sigma certification

Travel may be required up to 25%.
