Skills Inc. is an Aerospace Finishing and Manufacturing company that is currently seeking a CNC Machinist.. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Make complex set-ups and layouts with no supervision on both manual and CNC equipment that will facilitate all machining and fabrication operations required for production. * Fully utilize the machine's capabilities while holding exact tolerances. * Utilize production work orders, documents, drawings, specifications, written or oral instructions to plan needed sequence of operations, parameters, method of set-up and tasks necessary to produce production requirements even when adequate tooling does not exist.* Plan, create, and revise machine control data and documentation efficiently. * Using prescribed procedures, inspect part(s) or product(s) produced. * Assures compliance to specifications that will eliminate defects, scrap, rework, etc. * Perform first article inspection layouts and qualify parts to all drawing and specifications characteristics.* Identify and correct root causes for quality and cutting tool problems. Make necessary tool change-outs and adjustments.* Detect and report defective materials, faulty operations, and questionable matters to proper supervision. * Use appropriate machinist hand and hand power tools, all varieties of production machinery, and adjustable measuring instruments for production and tooling requirements.* Identifies area for quality improvement to supervision. * Follows continuous improvement to insure highest quality, lowest costs and on-time delivery.* Maintains an efficient and high quality work performance; follow prescribed work rules and standard safety regulations at all times.* Daily maintains equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition.* Assist and train those with less skills, ability and experience as needed.* Other duties as assigned. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS * High school diploma or equivalent* Must be able to take direction from lead and supervisor to complete tasks assigned* Ability to read work instructions and procedures in English* Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, team oriented, and ability to deal with a wide variety of personalities and communication styles* Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions* Must have a minimum of 5 years experience* Experience working in a team environment and have a comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing and finishing processes related to the aerospace industry. * Ability to read and interpret documents.* Ability to follow written instructions and to do repetitive work. * Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common factors, decimals, and utilize mathematical formulas. And determine simple and compound angles with basic trigonometric functions. PHYSICAL DEMANDS* Ability to lift or move 25lbs regularly* Indoor manufacturing facility* Occasional exposure to chemicals and fumes* Ability to stand, walk and sit throughout the workday* Ability to reach with hands and arms; use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel material* Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to focus.Wages DOE.
