Must travel with an aircraft and is responsible for providing total line maintenance and technical support for the aircraft to which he / she is assigned.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Overhaul, maintenance, and repair of airframe components, powerplants, aircraft communication equipment and associated components in accordance with K2 manuals, Manufacturer’s manuals, including Policies, Procedures Bulletins, Orders and 14 CFR, Part 65 Limitations.
The FM will be required to sign for work accomplished and Airworthiness Releases, if certificated and authorized.
The FM, in performing his duties is required to be constantly alert for defective, worn or failed parts as well as safe working conditions.
The FM may be assigned to such housekeeping duties as policing his work area or repair and maintenance of company property.
The FM will install engine plugs, Pitot/static covers and turn the aircraft oxygen bottle off after maintenance or termination of flight and make a log book entry. The FM will clear the log book entry before flight and fax the log page to Maintenance Control in YIP.
Conduct Terminating Service maintenance checks on B 727 / DC-9 aircraft.
Maintain contact with Maintenance Control regarding the aircraft condition.
Accomplish all required servicing of the aircraft.
Troubleshoot and repair defects and complete all return to service paperwork.
Forward copies of repair information to Maintenance Control as work is completed. Send original paperwork to Aircraft Records on a daily basis.
Maintain current inventory of flyaway kits, including serviceable parts, unserviceable parts, and tools. Coordinate the return of used parts.
Perform other duties as directed by the D.O.M. or Maintenance Control.
All Log Pages and paperwork will be Faxed to YIP and reviewed by K2 maintenance control prior to next flight.
