Location: Clearwater, FL
Duration: 9 months
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
: Participate in continuous improvements related to Cost Savings, Quality Measures, Product Cost, Productivity, Escapes, Inventory Reduction Projects and First Pass Yields.
: Develop documentation and training of the Standard Operating Sheets, layouts and re-work instructions.
: Generate and implement process and product improvements.
: Coordinate with New Product Development (NPD) Engineers for design changes and seamless product's transition into production.
: Identify alternate solutions to mitigate quality and schedule risk. Design or coordinate development of assembly tooling and aids.
: Support failure analysis investigations and the implementation of corrective actions necessary to reduce or eliminate nonconformance's. Drive changes to Design Engineering regarding issues affecting product integrity
: Support projects (such as cost reduction, transitions, etc.) and allocate funding as appropriate. Act as CAM for build disciplines (PE, PC, Assembly).
: Interpret Engineering flow down requirements, create inspection instructions (HIIs, SIIs, PIIs), facilitate RCCA with supply base.
: Plan, deploy, and monitor Supplier initiatives. Work with FQE's (Field Quality Engineers) on FAIs; ensure procured product meets drawings, specifications, processes, and SOW requirements.
: Interface with suppliers and/or customers to resolve concerns relating to production hardware or requirements, ensure delivered end product meets customer requirements and ensure piece part deliveries meet company requirements.
: Drive deployment of Built in Quality improvement findings; lead in the reduction in quality escapes, Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), and oversee Materials Review Board (MRB) utilization.
: Ensure compliance to the Quality Management System (QMS) policies and procedures. Support all internal and regulatory audits as required.
: B.S. in engineering, electrical or mechanical preferred
: A minimum of 5 years related experience.
: Must be US Citizen
Additional Skills and Qualifications:
: Previous experience in the manufacture of aerospace electronics preferred.
: Must be familiar with ISO9001, AS9100, SPOC, NADCAP requirements.
: Must be able to organize, prioritize and multi-task.
: Must be a motivated individual with a bias for action.
: Must be proficient at Microsoft Office Suite applications.
: Must be familiar with cost estimating techniques and budgeting.
: Must be able to apply engineering principles to the analysis and solution of technical related issues
: Energetic team player that interfaces well at all levels of an organization.
: Excellent communication skills both oral and written
: Knowledge of Six Sigma/ Lean Manufacturing a plus.
: Knowledge of SAP a plus.
: Knowledge of metrology a strong plus
**Travel required up to 50% to support quality source inspections at key program suppliers. Most travel will be to suppliers in California and Alabama.**
Work Schedule: First shift, start anytime from 7:00AM TO 4:00PM, Monday to Friday
