Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Facilities Engineering Advisor – EOR located in Houston, Texas through February 21rd 2013 at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time).
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
All Facility engineering aspects of EOR design and execution of a research plan to develop needed technologies; and implementation of field deployment to capture new reserves.
Cover both operational and research activities using the tools of facilities and process engineering, project management, surface facility and system optimization, economic evaluation, designing and overseeing laboratory and field tests of these newer techniques, and transferring the methodologies to Chevron's Global business units.
As a technical support consultant, the successful candidate(s) should be motivated to provide day-to-day work direction, coaching and quality assurance to Strategic Business Unit (SBU) staff and/or Energy Technology Company (ETC) SME's.
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Science.
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Familiarity with oil field operations, surface production facilities and systems and surface facility optimization related to fluid processing in onshore and offshore environments fields under waterflood or gas flood operations.
Basic knowledge of process engineering and control.
Experience with managing fluid flow (oil, gas, and water) and associated equipment (pumps, compression, blending/mixing, measurement devices).
Demonstrated project management skills including a working knowledge of Chevron Project Development and Execution Process (CPDEP) and related processes.
Facilities Engineering skills in the design, construction, start up and operation of surface systems and facilities needed for Pilot deployment in global greenfield and brownfield environments.
Demonstrated ability and passion for training, mentoring, networking and knowledge management.
Demonstrated ability to positively influence a diverse, cross-functional team (SBU customers, EOR SME's).
Experience with water treating processes associated with solids control, oil/water separation and water chemistry management (sulfate removal, reverse osmosis, desalination, softening).
Strong familiarity with Water or Co2 injection projects.
Experience with MCP's, and a proven ability to execute on schedule and budget.
