Prepares, cooks meals (grill/cafeteria style), portions and rotates foods on a daily basis following production sheets and posted cafeteria, satellite units, and special event menus to provide safe and palatable food service to patients, staff, and guests. Demonstrates regard for the privacy of all patients, guests, and hospital employees. Works as a TEAM MEMBER to provide quality food to all requiring our service.
High school or equivalent or working on diploma preferred. Some quantity food preparation and sanitation skills desired.
Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, repetitive motions. Usually light work. May perform duty that requires lifting 50#, pushing heavy carts, repetitive lifting to 68", reaching to 84". The worker is subject to: temperature changes, noise, poor ventilation, sharp knives, and exposure to blood and body substances.
