The successful candidate for this position will have the ability to take complete "ownership" for a particular department within the store. Each department is run as a "mini-store" within a store. The department specialist is responsible for everything that occurs in that "mini-store" i.e. merchandising, inventory control, receiving, communication with upper management and corporate staff, communication with fellow associates and customers, promotional support, opening/closing store, all operational processes and managing staff.
The ability to exceed customer expectations while doing all of the above is the most important aspect of this position. Interacting with and satisfying our customers takes precedence over everything else that we do at The Paper Store.
This position would appeal to an individual who enjoys a fast-paced environment that rewards and encourages creative and entrepreneurial thinking.
