Participate in the design of software tools and subsystems to support reuse and domain analysis. Assist Applications Engineer and Applications Programmer to interpret software requirements and design specifications to code, and integrate and test software components.
Performs day-to-day operations of the development, testing, staging, and production environments, as well as planning and implementation for future upgrades. These services include: accounts management, file backup and restoration, system monitoring and troubleshooting, performing system upgrades, planning and coordinating the rollout of new releases, setting up new servers, evaluating existing infrastructures to determine and correct deficiencies, capacity planning and management, investigation, evaluation, and implementation of server.
Develops new platforms, administers, tests, and maintains systems hardware, software, and communications environments.
Analyzes, installs, deploys, integrates, and supports the System and Framework products in the development, staging, and production environments.
Supports and maintains testing environment. Completes integration and testing of applications before integration into the production environment.
Manages system performance to optimize system response time, minimizes any down time, troubleshoots and resolves the problems.
Configures and maintains servers, software and provides a full-service networked environment for the System and Framework within the network structure.
Performs Information Assurance compliance tasks.
Tracks licenses for software installed in the development environment.
Sanitizes and decommissions IT equipment and destroy excess software and data repositories.
Implements Web-based Security Architectures including: PKI, SSL, Certificate Management, and Configuration management/Change management as it relates to security patches.
Maintains, administers, and performs life cycle maintenance of an enterprise library which includes UNIX servers, databases, routers, and peripheral devices, security, both classified and unclassified.
Coordinates with manufacturers, contractors and other software experts within or outside the organization for library services-related problem identification, evaluation and resolution.
At a minimum, a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school; Accredited schools are those reported to the US Department of Education and maintained within the Secretary of Education’s database.
Strong oral and written communication skills. Experience with system development life cycle and familiarity with Program Management Institute standards.
Familiarity with ITIL v3.
Must be a US citizen.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. Active Secret clearance highly desired.
