Under the direction of a radiologist, performs nuclear
scans at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Orders
all isotopes as needed for studies which are pending. Maintains
equipment and hot lab according to state and federal regulations.
Performs all QC procedures. Maintains radiation safety badges and
logs. Cross trained in other radiology modalities preferred. Other
duties as assigned.
Satisfactory completion of formal radiological training in an AMA
approved school . MUST have 3 years exp as a registered nuclear
medicine technologist in an acute care hospital. Registered by
and in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic
Technologists and/or the Certifying Board of Nuclear Medicine
Technology and the Florida Bureau of Radiation Control. Current
CPR certification required. Venipuncture certification
