The Staff Analyst will independently perform various data analyses of Medicaid claims and encounters.

Essential Functions:
  • Perform analytical reviews on large data sets and make recommendations based on results
  • Prepare and distribute reports/analyses
  • Evaluate business processes to identify opportunities for automation and optimization
  • Effectively identify and document business requirements for projects
  • Work in multi-discipline teams
  • Maintain security and confidentiality of all protected health information encountered during performance of other essential functions
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Finance, Computer Science, Statisitics or related field
  • Minimum 1 year experience with data analyses required
  • Relevant experience in understanding databases and Medicaid claims preferred
  • Experience writing SQL beneficial
  • Proficient use of applicable software programs, including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Well-organized with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to perform duties at an efficient pace
  • Ability to provide high-quality output requiring minimal changes for supervisor
  • Must be able to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize assignments
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel if necessary to meet business demands
