Mechanical Engineer

TxMQ is currently assisting their client in the search for a qualified Mechanical Engineer for their manufacturing facility in Western New York.

REPORTING TO: Engineering Manager
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work directly with the Sales Department and Customers to develop process requirements for Systems
Design and detail of process tanks, frames, and material handling systems for all applications,
Provide Technical support to the manufacturing group,
Work daily with fluid pneumatics and hydraulics, pumps, filters, plumbing, sheet metal, mechanical transfer systems, etc.
Wet bench design and process
Design and solid modeling using SolidWorks or other 3D software
Provide support to sales for development of quotes and identify and communicate necessary exceptions.
Understand total Company and work center capabilities to help identify interdivisional opportunities or limitations.
Provide engineering support to other departments in terms of design of fixtures and/or solid modeling of various
machine components, gauging or other auxiliary equipment
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Associates degree and relevant experience
8-10 years experience in Mechanical or Mechanical Design Engineering
Prior experience with capital improvement projects and/or design of custom capital equipment, turn key processing lines
SolidWorks experience strongly preferred, but other 3D modeling software acceptable – MUST have CAD expertise,
Experience in fluid pneumatics/hydraulics, pumps, filters, plumbing, sheet metal, mechanical transfer systems
Wet bench design and process experience in the semiconductor/disk drive industry preferred
Ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environment
Ability to work cross functionally with all departments, levels of management including production staff
Strong analytical and organizational skills and demonstrated problem‐solving abilities
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft office programs
Must be results oriented with a strong desire to succeed
Solid verbal and written communication skills with ability to interface and work with Customers
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Wet bench design and process experience in the semiconductor/disk drive industry preferred
Experience with or knowledge of ultrasonics / cleaning systems
SALARY:
This salaried EXEMPT position has a targeted range between $50-75K, based on individual’s qualifications with reference to the skills and abilities of the position for which he or she is being considered.
