THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN DRIVERS RECORDS/TICKET UNIT, HEADQUARTERS - BLYTHEWOOD, SOUTH CAROLINA. The Administrative Specialist II/Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring South Carolina Motor Vehicle laws are abided by and that necessary sanctions are being enforced when necessary. The Compliance Specialist reports directly to the supervisor or manager of the unit. The Compliance Specialist typically performs routine or standard transactions ranging from research to determining compliance with legal requirements for services. The Compliance Specialist may be called upon to perform some or all of the following job functions; Open incoming mail; verify tickets from nature of offense, date of violation, judges's signature, sign off date and disposition. Separates yellow copy of tickets for South Carolina as (9) on bottom of tickets and out of state(state alpha). Enter ticket number in the Add Ticket Inventory module for miscellaneous or not guilty South Carolina violations. Research the Phoenix Workplace to research for customer numbers, create customer numbers and forward tickets to lead users to have weight and height added into the Phoenix Workplace.

Minimum and Additional Requirements:

A high school diploma plus two (2) years related job experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to learn and explain policy and procedures to DMV customers. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. orally. Proficient in basic computer skills.

Works under general supervision after a period of training. Works in general office environment. May be required to work extended hours outside of the normal scheduled work week. Must be able to lift 10-15 lbs. The work requires sitting for long prolonged periods of time and significant time spent on a computer terminal.
