Summary: This position will be based in Western Connecticut. The Instructional Technology Specialist will develop instructional materials and products and assist in the technology-based redesign of courses. Assist faculty in learning about, becoming proficient in, and applying instruction technology.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Conduct training sessions at assigned locations

Prepare and adapt training material to a variety of settings

Participate in the development and implementation of new courses

Teach instructor to use instruction technology or to integrate technology with teaching

Adapt instruction content or delivery methods for different levels or types of learners

Develop instruction or training roadmaps for online and blended learning programs

Present and make recommendations regarding course design, technology, and instruction delivery options

Assist in conducting evaluation of training activities

Requirements & Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree, plus 4 -10 years of classroom experience

State teaching certification required

Current drver’s license and reliable vehicle is necessary for this position

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of SMART Notebook software, current instructional technology, PC and Mac computers

Apple training certification and additional professional development certification preferred

Must be able and willing to travel 90% of the time
